Itinerary
Today is all about settling in your luxurious hotel by the magical Lake Bled and exploring its surroundings on the doorstep of the Julian Alps. Depending on the time at your disposal, you can take a walk around the lake, try a bite of the famous local “kremšnita” creme cake, or visit the Bled Castle on a little hilltop overlooking the lakeside. Let the adventure begin!
Adora Luxury Hotel or similar (depending on availability)
Today, you’ll walk across the fields above Bled to Vintgar Gorge, where Radovna River cut a deep ravine, which visitors can now traverse along a series of boardwalks fixed along the side of the steep stone walls. Then, you’ll return to the lakeside, where you can take the traditional pletna boat ride to the lake’s island, wrapping up a magical day at Lake Bled. After a day filled with new experiences, you’ll return to Bled for another night at Adora Luxury Hotel or similar.
Adora Luxury Hotel or similar (depending on availability)
Bled Round Trail is a scenic circular hike around Lake Bled, taking you across several panoramic viewpoints surrounding Lake Bled, such as Mt. Ojstrica, Mala Osojnica, Bled Castle, etc. You’ll start from your doorstep, and you can take it at your own pace or even do only a section of the entire route. Then, you’ll return to the comforts of your hotel for your final night in Bled.
Adora Luxury Hotel or similar (depending on availability)
After being transferred to Kranjska Gora and checking into your hotel, you’ll kick off your walking holidays by following a pleasant gravel footpath along the Pišnica stream, passing Lake Jasna and eventually reaching the entrance to Krnica Valley beneath the mighty mountain faces of the central Julian Alps. You can hike to the hut in the valley or continue upwards, ascending past the Russian Chapel beneath Vršič Pass and returning to your charming boutique hotel on the shores of Lake Jasna.
Boutique Hotel Milka / Chalet Sofija or similar (depending on availability)
A new day brings about a hike to one of the most scenic and easily accessible viewpoints in the Julian Alps – Slemenova Špica, which stands above Tamar Valley. A private transfer will take you to the top of Vršič Pass, from where you’ll follow an ascending path to a saddle, from where the path weaves and undulates below the Mojstrovka mountains before making the final climb to the panoramic summit. Don’t let the hike’s length fool you, as the terrain is uneven and unforgiving, thus requiring sure-footedness.
Boutique Hotel Milka / Chalet Sofija or similar (depending on availability)
After your final night in the alpine embrace of Kranjska Gora, you’ll be transferred to Slovenia’s charming capital, where you’ll check into a 5-star hotel in the city centre. Our guide will pick you up and take you on a 2-hour exploration of Ljubljana’s Old Town, introducing you to the rich cultural heritage of the city and its most iconic landmarks. Beyond that, the time is yours to fill, but we would thoroughly recommend a luscious dinner at one of the many fine-dining restaurants to celebrate the end of your holiday.
Hotel Cubo / Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel or similar (depending on availability)
For your last day in Slovenia, you can enjoy some leisure moments in sunny Ljubljana, walking the paved streets by the Ljubljanica River and having a cup of coffee at one of the many coffee shops on its banks. Grab some souvenirs before your private transfer picks you up to take you to the airport.

Things to know
Our guided walking tours are led by UIMLA or IMFGA internationally licensed guides who have completed many years of training to make your walking holidays both safe and enjoyable. They are enthusiastic individuals who are ready to share their passion for Slovenia and its rich culture and nature with you, and make your walking holiday one to remember.
We are always looking for the perfect fit for you. We use a few different accommodation providers that fit our standards but they are subjected to availability, especially in the high season. We can also adjust the holiday, keeping in mind your preferences and budget and can always find a more suitable solution for your taste.
We recommend booking as early as possible. Slovenian mountain huts are very popular and get booked up several weeks in advance, especially on weekends. If your booking is late, we will try our best to find a suitable alternative. Sometimes, last-minute spots open up. However, we cannot guarantee a free spot.
All of the huts offer vegetarian options and usually at least one vegan option. Still, kitchens high up are basic, so don’t expect too many choices. Huts generally serve authentic meals like stews, soups, and sausages. If you have strict dietary restrictions, consider bringing your own food as they can’t make a special meal per request.
If you want to, sure! We are well aware that some people love to stay in groups while others prefer some more alone time on their trip. We wanted to give you the opportunity to do things your way. It is your holiday, after all! As long as you respect the group timings and locations designated by your guide, please feel free to customize your itinerary and create your own adventure!
Depending on the tour, some of our tours go through high mountains and there is still snow in spring (sometimes as late as early June) and autumn (sometimes as early as October). Other tours don’t go as high and are suitable for spring and autumn as well as summer. Read more about hiking seasons in Slovenia.
Most of the tours can be done even in light rain, as long as you dress accordingly. It is not unusual in the summer that there are afternoon thunderstorms, so early starts are advisable. If the weather looks really bad, we will try to reschedule or propose an alternative tour.
Some of our tours are hut-to-hut tours, with overnights in authentic mountain huts. Try to pack light, only take what you really need. You need your passport or ID for check-in, and some cash is advisable if the internet is down. Bring your sleeping liner and earplugs for the night, and toothbrush and body wipes for hygiene. You don’t need slippers, they are in the hut already.
